September 2 2008

On 17th July, after intensive deliberations, the Port of Rotterdam and Royal Dirkzwager have come to an agreement in the area of maritime logistic information exchange.

The parties have come to an agreement on the continuation of the traditional exchange of operational information (a.o. ETAs) between the Port of Rotterdam and Dirkzwager. This guarantees the mutual supply of ships’ information for the coming years. A definite technical solution for the way in which Royal Dirkzwager will have access to the Rotterdam Port Community System will be introduced in the near future. A project team will be formed to determine the final technical completion of the agreement.

Thanks to this agreement the supply of information towards customers of the Port of Rotterdam and Dirkzwager will become more efficient . Royal Dirkzwager is an indispensable link in the communication and information exchange in Rotterdam and other Dutch harbours.
