Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS)

Thanks to developments in navigation and associated systems, today’s ships enjoy the advantages of the well-known and widely appreciated combination of Radar, ECDIS and Conning.  The digital integration of ARPA Radar, ECDIS, conning, AIS and autopilot functions greatly enhances the overall functionality of the vessel, ensuring a high level of efficiency and safety. In addition to these basic functionalities, further applications as Dynamic Positioning & Tracking and Voyage Data Recording can be added.

Depending on circumstances and requirements, the information presented can be limited to the bare minimum, with an option for switching additional layers on or off, so that the current presentation can be tailored to operational requirements.
The basic bridge can be extended to include Workstations at any location, on the Bridge, on Bridge-wings, or in other positions.

For specific applications such as dredging, offshore support or mine hunting, the integrated bridge system can be integrated with additional applications such as Dredging Survey Systems or Auto Pilots and Dynamic Positioning Systems.
The Imtech Marine & Offshore IBS is integrated in the UniMACS 4000® system, it is the backbone of total Ship Operation, and far more than simply a bridge or an automation system.
