Electrical Installation Students Visit to Drapers

Alex Hallam, Trainee Engineer and Stage 3 apprentice collected an additional prize linked to the award he won in 2007 for Best Level 3 City & Guild JTL Apprentice at Loughborough College.

Alex Hallam and Matthew Fielding were treated to a corporate visit to Draper Tools, in Southampton as part of a prize for their excellent work. Alex was accompanied by college staff Brian Philpot and Dick Swan on a weekend visit as part of the College's long association with the tool company.

Upon arrival in Southampton they were given a comprehensive tour of the company’s distribution, repair marketing and testing facilities. This was followed by a competitive game of ten pin bowling and an evening meal at a local restaurant.  The next day, the apprentices were taken to Southampton Football Club to watch a match from Drapers Corporate Hospitality Box, this match finished off a great weekend.
