In 2001 we established our branch in the United Kingdom. From Billingham, to be precise, we provide electrical engineering design and installation capability for marine electrical systems, installations and HVAC-systems.
One of our most appealing projects is the design, supply and installation of electrical equipment packages for four LSD(A) ships for the MoD Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA). As these ships are were built on different yards we also have opened two site offices to smoothen the management process.
For all activities Imtech will use its supply chain in the UK. Imtech will combine its experience gained in working on the UK Royal (RFA) vessels and other naval projects together with its cruise liner project experience to generate innovative solutions and production processes that will drive out cost while complying with customer requirements.
Imtech in the UK has also established itself in the electrical design/installation of pipe laying equipment on board commercial vessels as well as recently carried our a major refurbishment project for a heavy lift barge.
Imtech can also offer a call out service for customers navigation and communication problems in the UK and world wide through the Radio Holland Network. Radio Holland became a part of Imtech N.V. in May 2006.
