Imtech broadens its technology base
Imtech UK announces the acquisition of Capula a leading advanced automation and real time business intelligence provider in the UK. Jim Steele stated: “The acquisition of Capula further demonstrates to the market the continued commitment of Imtech to broaden both its technological capability and provide a more integrated service offering to its clients.”
This acquisition takes Imtech to a UK and Ireland turnover in excess of £ 600 million. Roger Turner the Managing Director of Capula says the acquisition by Imtech is excellent news for Capula as it brings the company into a high technology business and the financial strength and group opportunities will facilitate the ambitions of Capula in its future growth plans.
Capula was founded in 1969 and has its headquarters in Stone, in Staffordshire. It also has regional branches in Gloucester, Cumbria, Aldermaston and Aberdeen as well as small site offices at various customer locations where Capula has been operating for many years. Larger customers include: Drax, Alstom, National Grid, United Utilities, Areva, Thames Water, ABB, Scottish and Southern Energy, Yorkshire Water, British Energy, AMEC, Waste to Resources and ScottishPower. Capula provides practically national coverage in all the important economic regions in the UK.
