Imtech achieves MCS Accreditation
Imtech Aqua Controls has successfully achieved accreditation to the Governments Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) for Solar PV systems, together with membership of the Renewable Energy Assurance scheme (REAL), the UK's renewable energy consumer protection code.
The MCS is an independent scheme supported by the Department of Energy and Climate Change and designed to certify businesses who undertake the design and installation of environmental technologies in homes throughout the United Kingdom. MCS is the only certification scheme to cover all microgeneration products and services, evaluating installers against robust criteria to provide greater protection for consumers.
John Wardley, Managing Director of Imtech Aqua commented ‘Achieving the MCS accreditation is key to installing Solar PV in the UK as it means that installations carried out by Imtech are eligible for the ‘Feed in Tariff’ which commenced earlier this year. The addition of Solar PV complements our current service offering and allows us to assist our clients in the design and selection of the most appropriate renewable energy technologies to suit their requirements’
Imtech Aqua are able to offer Solar PV as part of their mainstream activities or as an individual package for new facilities or as a retrofit on an existing building.
