Imtech celebrate Holyhead wastewater treatment works official opening
Welsh Water’s wastewater treatment works in Holyhead has been fully commissioned for over 12 months and to celebrate its completion, commission and handover, Imtech colleagues joined with Welsh Water, partners from across the alliance and the wider community to celebrate its official opening on 22 March 2007.
The treatment works was officially opened by Rt Hon Rhroddri Morgan, AM and the event, held at Trearddur Bay Hotel in Holyhead, was attended by key people involved in the project.
Commented Tony O’Shea, Imtech Director: “This treatment works had a huge impact on the community in Holyhead. The project itself also impacted on people throughout the Holyhead catchment and a lot of time was spent with local councils and action groups to ensure the best possible solutions were achieved.
He continued: “The project has been complete and operational for a while now and this seemed an appropriate time to recognise the achievements of the team involved in the scheme. It is also good to have the chance to celebrate the success of a scheme like this, with the community that ultimately benefits from it”
