Family Beenen of m.s. Vagebond wins prize!
Tuesdaymorning a Furuno River radar was symbolically handed over to the Beenen family (m.s. Vagebond) at the Imtech Marine Group stand. During the exhibition Construction and Shipping Industry in May of this year, a contest was held by Radio Holland. People had to answer two questions and return the form at the Radio Holland stand. The Beenen family got clostest to the correct answers and won the much wanted prize: a Furuno River radar. The answers to the questions are; Radio Holland has sold 12.643 Furuno radars since 2002 - May 2009 and in the stand-by module 21% energy is being saved.
The Beenen family was very surprised by the telephone call that they were the winners of the contest: 'It is great timing, our current radar is 19 years old and needs replacement!' The prize was symbolically handed over on behalf of Radio Holland Netherlands by Managing Director Guido Speelman and Marketing and Sales manager Erik van Boom; a bouquet of beautiful flowers was handed over to the happy winners and a toast was made with a celebratory glass of Champagne.
