Erwin & Lothar, 11th of october 2009
Hello, today we where again in Woodhill.
This time we had to collect the data from the houses. The first house where the team of Robert, Andreas en Erwin went was the house where only the maid was, so we collected the Plugwise data, called the owner to make an appointment in the evening, but he didn’t want to make an appointment, just send the results en I shall see. I’m busy. This is a bit disappointing, it’s difficult to connect to some of the people.
But some of them are very interested, they also know, that power will rise in SA in the next two years about more than 50%. This is the upper class and not everyone is open to the project. Here in SA the money saving is more a driver as the environment. One off the first results is, that as we expected, the geyser is the biggest consumer at all, but then the freezer and fridges are following. We are still waiting to get more data to proof that.
There is a long way to go, to get all the communities working with us.
This afternoon after 4 we went back to the office to make the reports.
There are still some difficulties with Plugwise: it works sometimes fine, but on some laptops we still suffering some connection problems.
This evening we go working on the project. There is an presentation on Friday for the stakeholders. We are also still working on the reports for every household, including advices to save energy.
Greetings Erwin and Lothar
