Jim Steele, Imtech UK Group Chief Executive
Jim is a founder member of the Meica Group and in 2003 led the organisation through the purchase of its shareholding by Imtech NV which marked the successful culmination of Meica’s initial phase of development since its formation in 1994. Following the sale of the Meica Group Jim was appointed to the Executive Council of Imtech NV and was promoted to the post of Group Chief Executive where he has subsequently led Imtech’s acquisitions within the UK (Goodmarriott & Hursthouse, The Aqua Group and Suir Engineering) and is responsible for overall company operations within the UK, the general health of the business and the ongoing growth and development of Imtech in the UK.
Jim trained as an electrical engineer and spent his early years managing various engineering and construction projects in Ireland before building his reputation initially within the Middle East where he managed a joint venture organisation and subsequently within the UK where he took responsibility for all UK operations of a global engineering business including leading and motivating a team of 1500 personnel.
